The division of Student Affairs combines an array of services devoted to serving students. The shared goals of the division's highly-trained professional staff are to ensure that the living/learning environment helps students attain their academic goals and to enhance each UCSC student's experience with extra-curricular activities and support services.
Services range from admissions and registration to financial aid (including scholarships), housing and dining services, health services and job-orientation and job placement services. In addition, there are extensive specialized support services for older re-entry students, students needing child care, or students with disabilities. Other organizations and services include student-run news media, including KZSC Radio 88.1 FM, and several newspapers and periodicals; ethnic resource centers, the Women's Center, the Student Union, a variety of student clubs and special projects, physical education, recreation, sports, the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender Resource Center, health promotion programs, and more.

An additional important aspect of Student Affairs is the broad spectrum of Educational Partnership Center outreach programs that work with K-12 students and the community colleges. Among the goals of these programs is to increase the pool of low-income and minority students who are academically qualified to attend UC.
A gift to Student Affairs can be designated for any support service unit or student organization, or for student scholarships. If you choose to designate your gift to scholarships, it will be distributed to qualified students who might not otherwise be able to attend UCSC. View Scholarship Brochure
