Academic Information Systems (AIS)
Academic Information Systems manages the data used to support the UCSC
academic mission using the Oracle/PeopleSoft Student Administration
suite of software. AIS is the system of records for Academic Advising,
Undergraduate and Graduate Admissions, Campus Community, Financial Aid,
Student Business Services, and Student Records; it also includes the
Narrative Evaluation System (NES), the Graduate Admissions Review
Portal (GARP), the Transfer Credit Summary System (TCSS), Resource25,as well as
the Faculty, Student and Advising Portals.

Academic Resource Collaborative (ARC)
The Academic Resources Collaborative (ARCollaborative) is a coalition of UCSC
Student Affairs units (Educational Opportunity Programs, Disability Resource
Center, Learning Support Services, Services for Transfer and Re-Entry Students,
Student Media, and the Student Volunteer Center) that seeks to support student
academic success.
This coalition actively seeks to collaborate with other academic and administrative
departments that work to support students' personal development and academic
achievement. Their fundamental objective is to provide students access to academic
and related resources, which will enable them to make a successful transition
into the UCSC learning community and to achieve their personal and academic goals.

Admissions
The Office of Admissions is the entryway for new students to UC Santa Cruz.
Admissions Outreach, located on campus with regional offices located throughout California, serves as an information resource about UC Santa Cruz for prospective students and their families by visiting schools, college fairs, conducting tours, answering telephone and e-mail inquiries, publishing informational brochures and web sites.
The Office of Admissions Evaluation and Processing serves as a resource for applicants and admitted students, publishing admissions guidelines, collecting and evaluating student records for admission to UC Santa Cruz, and answering applicants' telephone and e-mail inquiries.

African American Student Life Resource and Cultural Center (AASLRCC)
The African American Student Life Resource and Cultural Center provides student support services and programs helping to promote student development and academic excellence. Our primary goals are to enhance student recruitment efforts, to increase student retention, and to encourage students to view their academic matriculation and social interaction as rewarding and beneficial.
AASLRC welcomes volunteers and student interns to serve as members of TEAM AASL Outreach Program or on our Advisory Council. Program members serve as advisers for several academic clubs: Blacks in Science, Phi Beta Kappa Honors and Scholars Club, and National Society of Black Engineers. Other organizations affiliated with the center include African/Black Student Alliance, African-American Theater Arts Troupe, Black Sisterhood United, Black Men’s Alliance, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority.
Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) Abuse Education
The UCSC Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Prevention Program is an on-campus resource for students with concerns about AOD use in their own lives or in their community. Our mission is to empower students to make reponsible and healthy lifestyle choices by communicating the realities, misperceptions and secondary effects of AOD use.

American Indian Resource Center
The American Indian Resource Center provides a central resource for American Indian students—focusing on student leadership, tribal connectiveness, and Native scholarship. We offer advocacy related to American Indian issues; leadership training; event planning; academic and personal counseling; and educational, cultural, and social programming. In addition, we support programs connecting the American Indian student community to national, tribal, and state resources.

Asian American/ Pacific Islander Resource Center (AA/PIRC)
The Asian American/ Pacific Islander Resource Center's mission is to provide and enhance opportunities for developing leaders, building a stronger sense of community on campus and linking students to community service opportunities. Ultimately, AA/PIRC offers education and dialogue on issues affecting Asian American/Pacific islanders towards addressing students' multiple and diverse academic, social, cultural and other co-curricular needs.
The Asian American/Pacific Islander Resource Center provides and enhances opportunities for student leadership development, builds a stronger sense of community on campus, and links students to community service opportunities. Students can also access AA/PIRC’s internship and scholarship database, browse through Asian American Studies publications and magazines, and find out about cultural and educational events.
Athletics
Intercollegiate teams and sports clubs are provided for those who want the opportunity to compete against rival institutions in an official format, with set practice schedules, regular road trips, and rigorous training. Both men’s and women’s National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) intercollegiate teams compete in the following sports: basketball, soccer, swimming and diving, tennis, water polo, and volleyball. UCSC is a Division III member of the NCAA. There are no athletic scholarships or grants in aid.
Sports clubs involve less formal college and club competition, with men’s and women’s teams in cycling, fencing, lacrosse, rugby, sailing, cross-country running, triathlon, and ultimate frisbee.
