Educational Opportunity Programs
The Educational Opportunity Programs (EOP) Office provides a broad range of student academic support programs designed to promote the retention and academic success of first generation college and students from low-income and educationally disadvantaged backgrounds.

EOP is comprised of three units that offer the following programs and services. The Bridge Program is an academic preparation and transition program for a select group of entering EOP freshman. Advising Programs and Services provides academic advising and personal counseling, study skills development, community building activities and a Peer Advising program. The Pre-graduate Programs promote student interest and preparation for graduate and professional school opportunities through the Graduate Information Program (GIP) and the Faculty Mentor Program (FMP). The Campus-wide/EOP Learning Center provides academic support to all UCSC students through tutoring, Modified Supplemental Instruction (MSI) and special courses and programs for targeted student populations.
